Floor Maintenance Procedures

Lightly strip a new floor, this will rid the floor of anything used in the manufacturing process. If the floor has been waxed in the past, follow dilutions on stripper to properly strip the floor. Wax does not normally wear around the edges so use care to strip these areas.

Rinse several times using clean water each rinse.

Condition floor with a neutralizer, rinse with clean water, dry.

Apply a sealer/finish using a new mop. Three to five thin coats of finish should be applied to provide a good base. Apply each coat in opposite directions drying thoroughly between coats.

To clean the floor use a neutral cleaner that will not harm the finish.

Floor Pads
If using a floor machine, strip using a black or brown pad. For a harder finish and higher shine use a white pad to buff. A red floor pad should be used to clean or spray buff between waxing.
